On Friday 9 September, a delegation from the University of Oslo was welcomed in the Rectorate of the University of Pisa. The delegation was led by the rector Svein Stolen and composed of Bjørn Stensaker, vice-rector for Didactics, Per Morten Sandset, vice-rector for Research and innovation, and Mette Katrine Oftebro, coordinator of the Erasmus + / Circle U project.
The guests were welcomed by the rector Paolo Mancarella, Francesco Marcelloni, vice rector for International Cooperation and Relations, Lisandro Benedetti Cecchi, vice rector for European Research, and Paola Cappellini, head of the International Cooperation Unit.
The aim of the mission was to expand the research network that unites Pisa to Europe. The guests were able to meet some researchers from the University of Pisa who work actively within the Circle U. network on the issues of Democracy, Climate and Global Health: Alessandro Balestrino, Chair of the Circle U. Open School in Democracy, Angioletta Sperti, Chair of the Democracy Hub of Circle U., Paola Binda, professor of the Department of Translational Research and New Technologies in Medicine and Surgery, and Sabrina Sarrocco, Deputy Coordinator for Internationalization at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Agro-Environmental Sciences.
