How can we create alternative funding for Women Entrepreneurs?
Circle U. Open Conversation
Martedì 29 aprile, alle ore 16.00, avrà luogo online l'open conversation dal titolo "How can we create alternative funding for Women Entrepreneurs?".
L'evento è organizzato nell'ambito dell'Allenza Universitaria Europea Circle U.
Professor Helle Neergaards life long research in female entrepreneurship has yielded results, which show the need for an alternative funding system for women founders. According to her research, a majority of women founders prioritize to retain control of their company's growth path and don't want to give up ownership for equity, which doesn't fit with how venture capital works. Furthermore, a majority of women founders are driven by leaving a legacy rather than attaining growth as such. This predicament poses a barrier to their growth and creates the need for rethinking the funding system in order to meet other needs and values.
This Open Conversation invites Prof. Helle Neergaard to present her research and engage in a debate on how we can rethink the funding system to be more inclusive.
In the panel, we will have female founder Shaeema Zaman, Otto Hausgaard who works with venture capital as well as a range of students from the Women Founders Network, representing different Circle U. universities.
The Open Conversation will be live streamed.
