DSU Toscana

DSU Toscana (Regional "Right to Study" Programme) provides assistance and services to all students enrolled at the Universities of Florence, Siena and Pisa, managing  the dining halls in particular. DSU also offers places from their own accommodation facilities to students who are way from home and meet certain economic requirements. After application to DSU, these students may receive financial support for their studies and accommodation.

Office for PhD students

The Office for PhD students manages procedure and information about the public selection procedure to access a PhD programme: this is the highest level of education established by the Italian educational system regulations. This office is part of the Student Affairs Office - post graduate Degree programmes and student services.

Specialisation Schools Office

Specialisation Schools Office provides information on and manages the public selection procedure (concorsi) to access Specialisation Schools. This office is part of the Office of Students Affairs - postgraduate Degree programmes.

Mondays: 9:00am-11:00am
Wednesday: 11:00 am- 1:00pm. Only by appointment also 3:30pm - 5:30pm. To make an appointment, external users may use the virtual desk (Sportello virtuale)

Fridays: 9:00am-11:00am.

International Office

The International Office provides information on and manages procedures related to the mobility, exchange and cooperation programmes for students, teachers, researchers and administrative staff of the University of Pisa. Furthermore, the office manages the welcome services for international students and the process of revision and recognition of degree obtained abroad. The office is in Lungarno Pacinotti, 44 (International Mobility Unit) and in Piazza Torricelli 4 (International Promotion Unit; International Cooperation Unit; International Programmes for Cooperation, Education and Mobility Unit).

Linguistic Center - CLI

The Linguistic Center (CLI) is the structure that promotes, organizes and manages foreign language courses for students and University staff as well as Italian language courses and tests for Erasmus students and for international students who want to enrol at the University of Pisa. Furthermore, CLI is an advanced center for language education and acquisition techniques.

Internship Office 

The Internship Office provides information on and manages degree-related internships (for students enrolled in 1st, 2nd and 3rd level Degree programmes) and post-degree internships (for newly graduated students within the first twelve months after graduation). This office is part of the Student Affairs Office-graduate sector.

Career Service

The Career Service provides assistance to students and newly graduated alumni, giving them information and useful contacts for their job search. It also helps companies interested in hiring highly qualified staff and University employees working as mediators between companies and students. It also provides counseling service in this specific field.

Research Office

The Research Office assists researchers who participate in national and international projects. It also upports the financial, management and administrative planning of project proposals. The office provides also patent and spin-off information, counseling, support and mediation for researchers and companies based in the area. Topics connected to ethical regulations and the protection of animals used in research are also part of this office expertise.

USID

USID - Service Office for the Inclusion of special needs Students works to remove any obstacle that special needs students may can meet in the course of their university life. Some of the services offered are: educational and specialized tutoring; classroom and schedule planning to facilitate access to the classrooms and to other university facilities; Escort service and transportation for students with mobility problems; technological assistance/aids to using computers and other IT tools to support different types of special needs; monitoring of architectural barriers for the immediate removal of obstacles.
